New Expectations !

 Hello !    A few weeks left, we will be seating for our final exam. How fast time flies, feeling just like yesterday we start our first class. So,  this entry is about my expectation about this subject, Critical Literacy at the end of the semester.

   After learnt this subject about four month, and going through a lot in doing my assignments and presentation, I think this subject not that terrible. As long as we understand and not doing last minute work, it is not that hard. However, I think there is still need a high spirit and strong mental in doing assignments. Because just look at the name of the subject itself  "Critical" which means we really need to be critical in  doing everything that related to this subject. 

  To sum up, this subject really taught me to be more criticized and be matured in making conclusions. Besides, it open my eyes that first impression is not really true because before i start learn this subject I really thought this subject was a killer. But actually, it was not like that. 

I am glad I  was given a chance to learn this subject. That's all from me. Thank you. In shaa allah and i do really hope that I would not meet this subject in next semester anymore. :D

Body, Mind And Spirit

The body is the greatest possession, the mind is the greatest treasure, and the spirit is the greatest companion.

  From the statement above, I can conclude that it want to say that ourself is precious. Every part of it have their benefits.  In  my view, 'body'  refer to health. And as for us, we do really need to care of our health. As our health is the important element in our life. Imagined if you have problem with your health, you cannot do nothing with it. You will be weak. In addition, the mind and spirit was come along with our health.  So, if you have a great health you will have a great mind and spirit. Everything's going to work well if you got this all in your life.

  As for mind, the mind is the greatest treasure because if your mind is not in right condition you won't be able to think in a right way. Therefore, you cannot do anything without mind ! Do you ever heard about mind power role in achieving success in life ?  In order to achieve success in life, the mind is actually play an important role. For example, you use your imaginations the things that you want to achieve or something like that, that are the power of mind. You cannot do that if you do not  have great mind. Therefore, take good care of your mind and put your mind correctly.

  Lastly, making sure your spirit is right is important. Because sprit divided to two ; bad and good. Therefore, you need to have a good one. If you have a good spirit it will desire you to do good and be good.

In a nutshell. this three element was related to each other. So you better got  right for both element.

Baby Black Market

“If money were the only criterion by which a child’s welfare can be gauged, then a baby bought for as much as RM 40,000 on the black market would seem set for life. For money-rich but child-poor couples, it is a small price to pay to introduce a small life into their home. The cot gilded, the blanket monogrammed, the college fund filled to the brim. All that’s wanting is a bun in the oven. And where there is a baby-for-sale racket, money can indeed buy happiness. And after all, why not? “(NST, March, 2013)

  In my view,  sell baby at black market is a cruel action. Even though they need money, there are other ways that they can take to get the money. Even if the parents don't want their baby, they can send them to child centre or welfare or place that can provide the children needed. After all, black market is not a good way to solve the problems. Anyone should not involve in a black market even when they are in difficult situation. There must be solutions for every problems. 

  As for the statement 'money can indeed buy happiness' I totally disagree with that opinion. Not everything that can  buy with money include happiness. There are people that poor of wealth but still can live happily and same goes to people who live with money, can buy anything at anytime, but their life is not that happy. If not, there are no problems with more money. One of the rich problem include difficulties forming genuine friendships. Besides, money cannot buy happiness can be proved by this article said that having loads of spare cash does not make you much happier than having a little. It was clearly shown that having more money cannot bring you more happiness,                                                       Therefore, money can buy happiness is totally wrong, Not all people were that materialistic. So I can conclude here, first do not ever getting involved with black market. Second. money cannot buy happiness at all.

Stereotyping Is A Normal Action

Assalamualaikum and hi everyone :) Today I want to talk about one common thing that happened to us. It is about stereotype. Stereotyping is when you judge a group of people who are different from you based on your own or others opinion. Most stereotypes are true in some cases, but some are not.  However, as for me, stereotype can be good for us for some condition.  The reason is because we can know them because of the knowledge that we have.  After all, we cannot simply judge like that, we still need to observe them, get to know them, only then you know that person is really like your view or not.

Despite, that is not an easy as said, it is hard to avoid from doing that. Majority of us tend to be judgmental and follow what they feel true and did not hear others. So, I agree with the statement of stereotyping is exaggerated generalizations associated with a categorizing system, they go beyond the facts at hand and make claims that usually have no valid basis. Because this way of thinking it may bring negative effects to that person and also to you. So, my advice is stop being judgmental and you better got to know that person first.

My first impression or thought about CL.

Hi, hello. assalamualaikum. Welcome to my CL blog.  My name is Nur Syahirah Binti Sapuan from class DEC 4D.

What is my first impression or thought about Critical Literacy or to be short CL ? Okay, honestly, before class even start yet I already scared of this subject because it  need to be critical thinking and there are presentation in this subject which an important presentation as it brings a 25% . Such a high marks.

Plus, there are advice, messages that senior gave to us before we start new semester. It gives me more negative thought towards this subjects. But the negatives thought of CL start to change when we start our first class on the first day of new semester. Not all but it helps me get a new hope and expectations of this subject. I said to myself, that this subject was not that hard.

So, I hope that this new expectations do comes true and help me get an A for this subject. I am looking forward to this subject and hope it will not let me down.  :D
